Public Officials

Hall of Honor

This page is to honor the men and women who take pride in their jobs, who serve and protect the public.  We honor these individuals.  They are the epitome of what every person serving in the criminal justice field should be modeled.  We appreciate and thank them for doing their jobs to the best of their ability and for the kindest and consideration exhibited along the way.

Our faith in the Harris County Criminal Justice Courts has been restored.  Judge Kevin Fine, Harris County 177th District Court, made a decision to publicly humiliate thieves, Eloise Mireles, a former Harris County employee, and her husband, Daniel Mireles after them stealing more than $250,000 from the Harris County Victim's Fund.  This judge definitely knows how to dispense justice and we stand by him.  This man definitely deserves the top stop in AWC's Hall of Honor!

YOU GO JUDGE FINE!

We have a District Attorney we want to commend.  This man is going after unethical prosecutors and reviewing numerous cases for wrongful prosecutions.  This man definitely deserves a gold star!

Sheriff Walters and Captain Jones

San Jacinto County Texas Sheriff's Department

During the process of trying to get justice in Robert's case, we thought that all public officials were the same, that they were only in their positions for a paycheck, but we were wrong about a couple of men.  Through it all, we found that there are people who do care about people, justice and take pride in their jobs.  We are talking about Sheriff Walters and Captain Jones of the San Jacinto County Sheriff's Department.

When I first spoke with these two gentlemen, I expected the same behavior that I have received from so many before them, that they would not listen, have a bad attitude and do as little as possible.  I never expected what I received.  These two gentlemen were very polite, listened intently and did everything possible to assist us in finding the truth.  They take pride in their jobs and constantly reminded me that they were there to serve the public and assist in any way possible, and they did just that.

San Jacinto County Texas should be very proud to have these two gentlemen serving their county.

To Sheriff Walters and Captain Jones, thank you for everything.  You are two of the finest gentlemen in law enforcement.  If there is anything that we can do to assist you, do not hesitate to give us a call.
